The WARDROBES with sliding
doors come from the desire to take advantage of
the ingenious idea of the Japanese sliding door (shoji).
All too often traditional sliding doors have a few
problems running on their gliders smoothly and silently;
ours have no metal parts.
The centuries-old Japanese
door out-performs any other contender with its
simplicity and light weight. Here it is combined with a
touch of Italian inventiveness making it even more
environmentally-friendly and functional:
environmentally-friendly because instead of using rare
exotic hardwoods as in Japan, we use European beech;
functional because instead of the rice paper – rather
demanding in maintenance terms – of traditional
Japanese designs, we introduce several type of covering:
- natural cotton fabric (inexpensive and easily
replaceable )
- colored fabric by choice
- rice paper on transparent PVC layer
- plasticized rice paper
- white expanded PVC
- Plexiglas
